A 25 éves versenyző eddig csak Ducatival indult a MotoGP-ben, két évet volt a Pramac csapatnál, majd tavaly került fel a gyáriakhoz. Sikeres váltás volt, Bagnaia négy futamot nyert, és második lett a világbajnokságon.
